2388
In the War of the Prophets timeline, Project Looking Glass commences.
Originally intended to send a Klingon fleet into the "Mirror" universe,
fight its way to Bajor, then reappear in our universe behind the
Ascendancy's lines, the contingency plan is for the "Mirror" universe
to serve as a safe haven from the destruction of the universe. The
first exploratory and reconnaissance missions are flawless. The
armada moves out from the Klingon Empire in the "Mirror" universe,
heading for Bajor, while at the same time in our universe (to counter
any suspicions) Earth enters into trade and treaty negotiations with
the Grigari. Captain William Riker of the "Enterprise" (NCC-1701-F)
goes to battle stations and fires on the Grigari flagship, at the first
hint of trouble. The ship lasts all of three minutes in battle:
Riker, Troi, La Forge, Krueger, Paris, and the remaining crew all die.
The Grigari fleet attacks Earth without warning, and with
so many ships committed to Looking Glass there are no reinforcements
to save Earth. Word reaches the "Mirror" universe that the Grigari
had attacked Earth first, and the Fleet turns around to come to Earth's
defense. During the state of confusion as its mission changed, a
second Grigari fleet attacks there as well. With the defeat of the
Klingon Empire, the Grigari use the same Looking Glass transporters
to move weapons from the "Mirror" universe into ours: planet-decimating
weapons and nanospores (nanites existing only to disassemble living
cells to make other nanites, impervious to biofilters and drugs).
The end result is the near-extermination of Klingons and Humans.

In the alternate timeline of 2375, Chakotay and Kim finally succeed in

the "Voyager" out of the slipstream back in 2375. The timeline is
altered moments before the Delta Flyer's warp core breaches from

In an alternate timeline, Geordi La Forge meets retired Ambassador

Picard and La Forge visit Professor Data at Cambridge University to
find an answer to the time disorientation phenomena. Picard and company
arrange for passage aboard the USS "Pasteur" (NCC-58925) "Hope" class
medical ship commanded by Captain Beverly Picard. They seek out Worf's
assistance to gain permission to cross into Klingon territory (current
UFP-Klingon relations being poor as the Klingons have taken over the
Romulan Empire). The ship heads for the Devron system in search of the
temporal anomaly--and, through the emission of a third inverse tachyon
pulse, creates the temporal anomaly--which begins to expand backwards
through time. The "Pasteur" is destroyed by a warp core breach following
an assault by Klingon attack cruisers. The crew is rescued by the
"Enterprise" commanded by Admiral Riker of Starbase 247. Picard takes the
ship into the anti-time anomaly's center to reverse the phenomena with a
static warp shell. The ship's three incarnations are destroyed but are
successful, wiping out this alternate timeline developed by Q and Picard.

If Humanity still exists, it has evolved into a completely non-humanoid
form, if not into totally non-corporeal beings. The death of the universe
