new Emergency Medical Hologram AK-1.
[SNW II]

Note that the first ships equipped with the EMH will be the "Nova" class
USS "Equinox," the "Intrepid" class USS "Voyager," and the
"Sovereign" class USS Enterprise.
[Caretaker (Voyager), V 220, Incursion (TNG)]

The USS "Traveller" (NCC-74716) "Intrepid" class cruiser is laid down
at Earth Station McKinley.
[Advanced Starship Design Bureau]

This year will see the completion of the Andorian "J'a'ainel" class
vessel, one of Starfleet's solutions to a downsized scientific budget.
Originally designed to continue a 100 year old investigation of the
galaxy's Shapely Center, the ship is devoted primarily to the deployment,
maintenance and monitoring of deep space probes. The "J'a'ainel's"
pollution-free warp propulsion uses a deuterium/isoprobenium admixture
allowing the ship to carry smaller deuterium tanks and consequently 8%
less material is required by the engine to maintain normal operations
over the 2 year shakedown cruise. The ship has warp 9.4 capacity with
Leading 71-4 prototype nacelles and innovative deflectors capable of
channeling, transmitting and receiving 68% of the tetrion band and 80%
of the known subspace frequencies. At least 16 more vessels will be
built.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V8N3]

stardate 48022.5 {08 January}
The "Enterprise" relinquishes upper Beta Quadrant patrol to the
USS "Constellation" and rendezvous near NGC 4258 (V843 Ophiuchi)
to investigate the Infarret dig and a wave of disappearances.
Assisting the "Enterprise" are the starships "Oraidhe" and "Marignano."
The "Iaehh" ("Mind-eater" or "Intellivore") a rogue, warp-driven
living world is found responsible. An ancient creature of myth
originating outside the galaxy, it feeds upon neural activity and
has drawn many a colony ship to doom. Using an antimatter bomb and
placing the entire complement of the "Enterprise" to sleep, Lt.
Commander Data succeeds in annihilating the entity despite heavy
casualties and severe structural damage to the secondary hull. The
ships head for Starbase 44, a two week voyage. "Enterprise"
fatalities: 32 (unspecified) dead (may include civilians and/or
former members of the "Oraidhe").
[Intellivore (TNG)]

This year, 80% of subspace relay stations are retrieved for ready storage
within Sector 001, and another 10% will be deliberately destroyed to
prevent their falling into threat force hands.
[Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual (DS9)]

Corzanium is isolated by the Federation roughly during this period.
It is the only substance stable after being extracted and combined,
resistent to gravity, and found in black holes. The Dominion will
quantum-step mine corzanium from the Eye of Talek black hole in 2374
to use as building material for their verteron collider.
[TDW #1]

All 4 ships of the "Commonwealth" class are returned to active service
following refitting. These new star cruisers now carry crews of 525,
7 phaser emitters, 5 photon torpedo tubes, and possess greater warp
capacities.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V6N6]

Ambassador Spock and his unificationists are captured on Constanthus
(Crossover), one of the Romulan Empire's outer worlds. Admiral
Leonard McCoy is assigned to the "Enterprise" as a consultant to
assist in negotiating their release. Captain Montogomery Scott,
meanwhile attempts his own rescue mission by "borrowing" the
decommissioned "Constitution" class museum starship "Yorktown"
(NCC-1704) from Starbase 178 (complete with the original Romulan
cloaking device appropriated stardate 5027.3). Upgrading the ship
and cloak, Scott takes the ship to Constanthus. A shuttlecraft
from the "Enterprise" also undertakes a mission into Romulan space
and both parties eventually manage to recover Spock and his
surviving students. Spock's mission incomplete, the Vulcan intends
to smuggle himself and his students back to Romulus.
[Crossover (TNG/TOS)]

Note that Captain Montgomery Scott will continue to serve Starfleet.
He will design portions of the "Sovereign" (NCC-17454) class and be
posted to the class vessel as her Chief Engineer by 2374. He will be the
Chief Engineer aboard the "Sovereign" class "Enterprise" (NCC-1701-E)
during her initial launch in 2371. Scott will also work on further
refinements for a new "Constellation".
[Spectre, Ship of the Line (TNG)]

At approximately this time, a renegade Klingon Korath attempts to
change history by abducting an ancestor of Captain Picard from
20th Century Earth's Las Vegas, Nevada region. A group of 6 Terrans
are beamed aboard the "Enterprise".
[ST-TE]

stardate 48030.2 {11 January}
The reworked long-range intelligence scout vessel prototype "Cobra"
(NX-11480) is delivered to Starbase 105 for final trial runs.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V6N6]

stardate 48033.8 {12 January}
Military Operations Command receives the first of their new "Cobra"
(NCC-11480) class scouts, just as they begin the final decommissioning and
dismantling of their "Hermes" (NCC-585) class scouts, in use long past
their operational lives. The favored vessel of Military Operation
Command's Covert Operations Unit since nearly the day it was laid down,
the "Cobra" stresses multiple redundancy combined with almost 40%
automation of her primary and secondary systems. With 150 Exocomps
hardwired directly into the main computer, the ship's complement is
reduced by 50%. The "Cobra" mounts 8 linear phaser banks on both the
dorsal and ventral surfaces of the primary hull (a unique 'arrowhead'
warp dynamic design allowing greater speed for less power), and is also
armed with dual micro-photorp launchers on either side of the main bridge
and a single full-sized "Hound Dog" photorp launcher under Engineering .
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V6N6]

Upgrades to the "Enterprise" (and perhaps all "Galaxy" class explorers)
include decreased internal lighting and transporter system upgrades, among
minor upgrades to major compartments. Bridge ceiling trusses are
strengthened, command module platforms are raised, and additional
computer consoles are added to the Tactical region.
[Generations (TOS/Is There In Truth No Beauty? (TOS)G/TNG)]

Veronica Stadi is promoted to full Lieutenant and assigned to Flight
Control on the USS "Voyager".
[Starship Creator Deluxe (Computer Game)]

Captain Kathryn Janeway is given a tour of the "Voyager" by Admiral
Patterson while still in drydock. In an alternate timeline, she meets
Seven of Nine from 2375 searching for Braxton's temporal disruptor
detects a chroniton flux of 0.003, and glimpses Captain Braxton.
[Tempus Fugit (Voyager/DTI)]

stardate 48038.5 {14 January}
The "Intrepid" class scout USS "Voyager" (NCC-74656) is launched from
Earth Station McKinley. This 15-deck starship has a sustainable cruising
velocity of warp 9.975, a crew of 141, and bio-neural gel pack circuitry.
It also features a variable geometry folding wing nacelle configuration to
minimize the negative effects of warp fields on the subspace continuum.
Captain Kathryn Janeway assumes command.
[Caretaker (Voyager), V #1, Ghost of a Chance (Voyager), Future's End, Part I (Voyager/DTI), USS Independence Class Armed Freighter BlueprintsG]

Kira Nerys speaks with Istani Reyla who is headed to Beta Kupsic for an
archaeological dig.
[Avatar, Part I (DS9)]

This is the approximate time of Klingon negotiations on DS9 between
Chancellor Gowron and Rear Admiral Jellico. Gowron tells the tale
of Pok while the Duras sisters plot against him. Commander Riker
decides to create a holodeck simulation of Pok's story. In the
"Mirror" universe, Agent Seven has used this Klingon simulation at
the Obsidian Order training facility years earlier.
[GN 23, Dark Passions #1]

stardate 48190 {10 March}
The frame foundation of the New Avatar station is entirely in place and
the station is exerting its own gravitational pull. Thousands of
armatures, links, and access points surround the growing frame, which
also provides partial amounts of its own power and habitability .
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V5N5]

Commander William Riker is abducted by Q in 2372 as a witness at
the trial of the philosopher Q (Quinn). He is returned to the same
point in time with his memory wiped.
[Death Wish (Voyager)]

stardate 48200.9 {14 March}
Artificial biomorphs are created a the SkyNet Central Research Facility,
Cyberdyne Systems Corp, on Isla Nublar. Combining aspects of nanotech
and robotechnology, 3 separate biomorph modules are encoded: Sentry,
Warrior, and Terminator.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V6N6]

stardate 48202.8 {15 March}
Contact is lost with SkyNet Central.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V6N6]

In the Delta Quadrant, Neelix enters Kazon space at approximately this
time. He will make contact with the Kazon-Sara and the Kazon-Ogla
sects.
[Pathways (Voyager)]...
New Starfleet uniforms are issued, consisting of v-neck collars and
color-coded undergarments, apparently used in conjunction with the
standard Starfleet uniforms perhaps as fatigue uniforms at first. They
are based upon the station uniforms worn by DS9 personnel and feature an
all-new combadge design: the arrowhead symbol backed by a rectangular
shield.
[Generations (TOS/Is There In Truth No Beauty? (TOS)G/TNG), All Good Things... (TNG)/The Search, Part I (DS9), Death Wish (Voyager)]

The Type II, Model G phaser is issued. Featuring an improved sarium-
krellide power cell (a total energy charge of 8.79x10^7 megajoules),
curved grip, and reinforced prefire chamber, the Model G is an enhanced
Model F with a more pistol-like grip. The hot-swappable power cell is now
housed within the 45-degree curved grip for improved targeting and
handling. Within the optronics and energy-manipulation section, the
lithium-copper prefire chamber has been strengthened with the addition of
a wound hafnium tritonide fiber layer, allowing a prefire chamber energy
density and plasma pressure 15% higher than that of the Model F. The new
Type IIIA compression phaser rifle and Type IIIB assault phaser rifle are
also issued by Starfleet at this time. The Type IIIB assault rifle
delivers on theoretical research connected to the equipment requirements
of the "Sovereign" class starship, incorporating the first true
transitional-phase pulse accelerator, and supports a hot-swappable
power cell with a total energy charge of 3.45x10^8 megajoules. A field-
replaceable deuterium plasma generator, 12-stage plasma accelerator,
and a 5-stage cascading prefire chamber. The plasma chamber is critical
to the pumping of the prefire chamber to the proper energy level for
controllable nuclear disruption forces (NDF). Almost no classical
thermal or other unwanted EM effects are present in the discharge beam.
The superheated, rarefied plasma is exhausted past the lithium-copper
superconductor emitter crystal in a focused stream. The plasma helps
ensure that the crystal does not cool too quickly during firing. The
Type IIIB also boasts a new seeker/tracker, possessing both passive and
active EM and subspace detectors. The "Voyager" (NCC-74656) will carry
both types in her arsenal. The Type IIIA will not be deployed aboard DS9
due to limited Starfleet allocations such as aboard frontline starships.
In late 2373, the new starship "Enterprise" (NCC-1701-E) will carry them
and put them to good use against the Borg.
[V 102, V 154, Incursion (TNG), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual (DS9),

The hull of the ("Galaxy" class?) starship "Bolivar" is finished at
approximately this time.
[Rogue Saucer (TNG)]

At about this time, Kes ventures out to the surface of the Ocampa world
and sees the sun. She is captured shortly thereafter by the Kazon-Ogla
and becomes Maje Jabin's serving girl. Weeks later Neelix meets Kes
while trading water for cormaline. His plan to rescue Kes fails and
Neelix flees with his ship to a debris field.

stardates 48212.4-48214.5 {18-19 March}
The USS "Defiant" (NX-74205) escort vessel, commanded by Commander
Benjamin Sisko, ventures into the DS9 wormhole in order to confront the
Dominion's Founders. The starship is heavily damaged and the ship's
crew are taken captive. Security Chief Odo establishes contact with his
own species on a rogue planet in the Omarion Nebula.
[The Search, Part I (DS9), DSN 452]

A virtual reality linkup is utilized by the Dominion to test the captive
officers of the "Defiant." Odo discovers that his own species are the
Founders. He convinces them to release the "Defiant" and her crew
and allow them to return peacefully to DS9.
[DSN 448]

During this time Shep, a Ferengi, brings laboratory supplies to Helena
and becomes marooned there when his ship is destroyed.
[Double Helix: Quarantine (TNG/Voyager)]

During this period, Ensign Nev Reoh is stationed around Beltos IV, a
mining settlement near the Rigel system. His assignment is to check
shipments of dicosilium. After becoming infatuated with a Green Orion
slave girl, Nev reports his findings to Commander Keethzarn, the security
supervisor of Starbase 3. This gives Starfleet their first good crack
at halting the Pa'a Orion slave trade out of the Beltos system. Ensign
Nev is transferred to the "Enterprise".
[The Best and the Brightest (SFA)]

April
The USS "Werner von Braun" (NCC-72069) "Galaxy (II)" class explorer
is launched from the San Franciso Fleet Yards. The "Sovereign" class

(and its 4 subcores) and the station's communications array are largely
operational.
[Galactic Engineers Concordance Logbook V5N5]

The "Defiant" is at the Utopia Planitia Yards for repairs. The pirate
vessel "Helios" commanded by Demaree Kolovzon disrupts merchant traffic
along the Cardassian Border and destroys the Xawe vessel "Gift of Flight."
Smuggler agents kidnap Major Kira and Chief O'Brien releasing them in
exchange for needed repair components. The pirate ship escapes via the
wormhole.
[DSN #9]

A sentient Tschak starship entity named Enak docks at DS9 after having
killed its crew as a matter of self-preservation. Starfleet, Bajorans,
Cardassians, and Quark all view the ship as a valuable prize and it takes
control of DS9's computer system. Enak departs DS9 and rams Gul Dukat's
ship, destroying itself.
[DSN #10]

Roughly during at this time, Richard Brant drops out of sight. At first
believed to have been kidnapped by the Maquis, later word is that Brant
was seized by mercenaries in the Caliabris Sector and has located the
legendary Dujonian's Hoard. Captured by Orions, Brant is forced to
reveal to them the safe passage through Hel's Gate.
[The Captain's Table: Dujonian's Hoard (TNG)]

On Sindikash (Vaughn-Creighton system), Lieutenant Worf and Ross Grant go
undercover to infiltrate a planetary criminal organization led by
Odette Khanty and a group of renegade Klingon Rogues. Concurrently,
Captain Picard participates in a holodeck simulation with Alexander
Rozhenko, re-recreating an 18th Century historic event during the
American Revolutionary War. It is the Day of Honor among Klingons,
founded over a century ago. Ironically paralleling the Sindikash
situation, in that the colony desires to secede from the Federation,
Klingon honor is questioned by both Worf and his son when Grant is
killed. Sindikash still desires to withdraw from the UFP.
[Day of Honor: Ancient Blood (TNG)]

Dr. Crusher attends an Ark conference on Malabar station and returns to
the "Enterprise" with a gift for Alexander Rozhenko: a hamster. The
boy names the creature Fido, Lt Worf later naming it batlh-ghobboghh-
YIH ("Tribble-who-battles-with honor"). The "Enterprise" assists in the
reclamation of Skerris IV by ferrying ambassadors to the lost colonies of
Ashkaar and Ne'elet in search of a rare plant (n'vashal) which will cure
an enzyme deficiency in colonists reclaiming the Skerris IV homeworld.
The plant is recovered and the exploitation of the Ashkaarians by the
Ne'elations resolved. The "Enterprise" rendezvous with the "Marcus" .
[TNG #46]

Gul Marak in command of the "Galor" class Cardassian dreadnought
"Swift Striker," demands the return of DS9 to the Cardassians after
the short-term ascension to power of the Revanche party. Bajoran
collaborators are discovered planting bombs aboard the station and
the Cardassian engineer Berat helps disarm a bomb on an antimatter
containment bottle after being granted temporary asylum. Marak fails in
his mission, is executed, and Gul Dukat returns to power.
[DSN #6]

Captain Chakotay commanding the Maquis' "Peregrine" class starship
"Spartacus" discovers the plague-ridden planet Helena in the DMZ.
Helena is a mixed-race world where genetic diversity is prized.
Lieutenant Thomas Riker, aboard the "Galaxy" class starship "Gandhi" commanded
by Captain Azon Lexen, becomes a medical courier and encounters the
Maquis. Another Maquis vessel, the "Singha" commanded by Patricia
Rowan, is destroyed by an unidentified vessel. Faced with combating the
disease (another variant of the plague which struck the Romulan ruling
family, Terok Nor, and Archaria) Riker joins the Maquis. A Cardassian
fleet is discouraged from destroying Helena with the arrival of a fleet
of Klingon ships commanded by General Martok.
[Double Helix: Quarantine (TNG/Voyager)]

During this period Lieutenant Tuvok, operating undercover in the Maquis,
is brainwashed by the Bajoran Vedek Teero and subconsciously conditioned
to respond.
[V 250]

About this time on Renold VI, Nausican raiders attempt a theft employing
a high-frequency generator to break into a museum. Odo, studying the
crime's records, later tries to duplicate the generator several months
later on a planetoid.
[DSN 460]

Grilka, a Klingon woman, bonds with Quark after her husband, Kozak,
accidentally dies in Quark's bar. On Qo'noS, D'Ghor accuses Quark
of lying about Kozak's death and challenges him. D'Ghor is dishonored
and Grilka is granted special dispensation to lead her own house.
Quark divorces Grilka and returns to DS9. Keiko O'Brien closes the
school on DS9 because of the loss of students stemming from the
Dominion's threat. Miles O'Brien sees to the construction of an
arboretum in cargo bay 21. Keiko O'Brien agrees to leave for Bajor with
Molly on a 6-month agro-biology expedition.
[The House of Quark (DS9)]

Tom Paris is released from the Federation Penal Settlement in New Zealand
on Earth by Captain Kathryn Janeway. He takes a long freighter trip from
Earth to Starbase 41, where Stadi ferries him to DS9 for eventual pickup
by the newly-launched starship "Voyager." Before the "Voyager's"
departure from DS9, Ensign Samantha Wildman becomes impregnated by her
husband on the station, shortly after graduating from Starfleet
Academy in the 88th percentile.
[Is There In Truth No Beauty? (TOS)2, V 118, Starship Creator Deluxe (Computer Game)]

In the alternate timeline created stardate 49011, Ensign Daniel Byrd is
the Operations Officer serving aboard the "Voyager." Tom Paris becomes
involved in a bar fight with Quark on DS9, is confined to the station's
brig, and "Voyager" departs for the Badlands without him.
[V 122]

Director Luther Sloan assigns Ensign Roberta Luke to the "Voyager."
Her mission for Section 31 is to collect intelligence to finally
neutralize the Maquis once and for all.
[S31 #4]

stardate 48305.8 {21 April}
Departing their base in the Terikof Belt, the Maquis mission to target the
Montee Fass shipyards in the Oliv system is aborted when their fleet is
struck by the Badlands anomaly. Chakotay in command of the "Selva"
(registry: 078-Gamma-A-905) destroys the Cardassian station Opek Nor
with the raider. The Cardassian "Galor" class warship "Vetar" commanded
by Gul Aman Evek goes in pursuit of the raider and is severely damaged
by plasma flares and tetryon radiation from the anomaly. The recently-
launched USS "Voyager" assists the wrecked "Vetar" and the "Prakesh"
(commanded by Gul Dukat) picks up the remainder of her crew. Gul Evek,
disgraced by his failures and divorced wife, commits suicide. Using
Evek's starmap data, Captain Janeway theorizes that the Badlands anomaly
is a free-range artificial quantum singularity traveling at warp 9.99
around the Badlands' plasma storms, originally released upon the
destruction of a Romulan Bird of Prey on stardate 5650.1.
[Is There In Truth No Beauty? (TOS)2]

stardate 48307.5 {22 April}
In the alternate timeline created stardate 49011, this is the stardate of
Starfleet's last contact with "Voyager".
[V 122]

Presumably this is the period during which the "Nova" class science
vessel "Equinox" (NCC-72381) is transported to the Delta Quadrant by the
Caretaker while doing bio-scraping of a comet-washed asteroid belt.
Captain Rudy Ransom will lose 39 (half) of his crew during the first week
after running into the Krowtonan Guard. Ransom will break the Prime
Directive with the Ankari nucleogenic beings.
[V 220]

In an alternate timeline, while enroute to the Badlands, Captain Janeway
is enlisted by Commander Chakotay (from 2377) to help stablize the
ship in temporal flux.
[V 257]

stardate 48315.6 {25 April}

class scout "Voyager" (NCC-74656) commanded by Captain Kathryn Janeway
ventures into the Badlands. As with the former vessel, the "Voyager" is
transported 70,000 light years across the galaxy into the Delta Quadrant
by the Caretaker of the Ocampa. The Maquis join the crew of the
"Voyager," along with Neelix and Kes, following the destruction of the
Array and a battle with the Kazon-Ogla. Commander Chakotay is
assigned the position of First Officer.
[Caretaker (Voyager), V 102, V #1]

In an alternate timeline, Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay (from
2377) briefly visit this era shortly before the destruction of the
Caretaker's Array.
[V 257]

On the Klingon homeworld, Olahg discovers an ancient scroll
reputably penned by Kahless The Unforgettable, revealing the
historical figure to be a fraud. It threatens to tear the Empire
apart as the Klingon Defense Force undertakes a military coup
designed to unseat Gowron and the rest of the council. Emperor
Kahless calls upon Captain Picard and Lieutenant Worf who travel to Qo'noS
and are reunited with Kurn (who not only has acquired a seat on the
High Council but also the governorship of the colony world Ogat).
Together they defeat the conspirators.
[Kahless (TNG)]

Sometime during this period, Worf takes the initiative to quickly read
through a classified extract of the current theory behind Project
Renarg, a Klingon experiment to transport an exploding bomb through
shields. The theory: if a ship without a shield is piloted up to the
target, then the shield activated set to a frequency whose wave crests
and troughs are the exact mirror image of the target's shield, both
shields will be canceled out for a brief moment (a second or two).
Two years later, the Klingons will give the false impression that
Project Renarg has succeeded.

Brundage (Furies) Point Defensive Listening Station is attacked
when the Furies emerge through the wormhole. An interspace fear
beam is their new weapon, quickly nullified by the "Enterprise's"
development of a defensive shield and Dr. Crusher's use of the
Theragen derivative developed over a century ago by Dr. McCoy.
At Furies Point, the "Enterprise" is joined by the "Madison" and
"Idaho" in addition to the Klingon Birds of Prey "DoHQay" and
"HohIj." Lieutenant Sam Redbay sacrifices himself by piloting a
shuttlecraft through the wormhole and destroying its
generator--collapsing the hole and preventing hundreds of Fury
warships from invading UFP space.

The USS "Kelly" (NCC-3400) class super-dreadnought is commissioned.
Resembling an "Olympus" class dreadnought with 4 nacelles, the "Kelly"
is intended for defense and is built to take more punishment than the
average starship. The two additional nacelles on the saucer section
are powered by an independent warp core, giving both hulls warp capacity.
All four 6th phase nacelles incorporate tetryon flux inhibitors to
prevent subspace damage at higher warp velocities; warp 9.92 capacity
being maximum warp. Ordnance is the equivalent to the firepower of 4
starships: 8 photon torpedo launchers and 14 phaser arrays. Phased
cloaking technology is employed for both the ship and in a limited number
of photon torpedoes (allowing the torpedo to pass through the enemy's
defenses and deliver its payload inside the vessel). "Kelly" class
hulls have 46 decks and are composed of black anodized diburnium-osmium
plating to strengthen the hull's superstructure. A total of 9 ships
(NCC-3400-NCC-3408) are authorized, each with a complement of 1,350

[Heroes and Demons (Voyager)/113]

A month after the "Enterprise's" crash, Starfleet Intelligence
mounts an emergency extraction mission to bring Spock from Romulus
to Veridian III. There, Spock witnesses the retrieval of Captain
Kirk's remains by unknown hostile forces--later revealed to be
Romulans. Dissident Romulans, led by Commander Salatrel of the
warbird "Avatar of Tomed," have allied themselves with the Borg.
Their first action is the destruction of the "Farragut" (NCC-60597).
Using a combination of technologies (nanites and a Guardian of
Forever type ark to capture Kirk's brainwaves at the moment of
death), James T. Kirk is resurrected. He is brainwashed and
conditioned to hunt down Captain Picard, the only threat to the
Borg. On a special intelligence mission assisted by the "Defiant"
class escort "Monitor," Captain Picard and Dr. Crusher discover
Starbase 804 being assimilated by the Borg. They are captured by
the Borg, as is Ambassador Spock, and brought aboard a hypercube
station located within transwarp space where a fleet of Romulan
warbirds are docked. Both Spock and Picard later learn that they
are "immune" to Borg assimilation, as they are both considered to
already be a part of the collective. On Deep Space Nine, Kirk
is finally apprehended and taken aboard the new "Galaxy" class starship
"Challenger" commanded by Captain Simm (a black Vulcan from the Regar
district of Vulcan). Aboard the "Challenger," a Borg brain implant is
surgically removed by Dr. Bashir, assisted by Admiral Leonard McCoy.
Picard, Crusher, and Spock escape to the "Challenger" aboard Borg
scout vessels. Kirk is cleared of his conditioning via a group
mind meld with Spock and Picard--through which it is theorized that
the V'ger machine entity which Spock melded with from over a century back
was another branch of the Borg collective. At Starbase 324, the
"Monitor" is fitted with a transwarp engine recovered from a Borg
scoutship. Renamed "Enterprise," strictly for this mission, the
"Monitor" seeks out the machine planet which repaired V'ger--the
extrapolated Borg homeworld and the Central Node of the
collective--in the Delta Quadrant. The "Avatar of Tomed" is gutted by
the "Enterprise." Captain Kirk sacrifices himself, destroying the
Central Node on the Borg homeworld, severing the Borg collective .
[GN 22]

Note that this is by no means the end of the Borg and this assault on
their homeworld will signal a temporal counterstrike on Earth. The
Borg Unicomplex encountered by the "Voyager" in 2375 may be the new
Borg base of operations taking the place of the Central Node/homeworld .
[Incursion (TNG), Spectre, V 210]

Unknown to the Delta Quadrant mission's team, James Kirk is rescued
by a transwarp transporter beam. He finds himself on a world near the
galactic core, populated by ex-Borg members of the Hugh Clan. They
purge Kirk of his Borg nanites and he will live among them for the
next two years before finding an intact Borg scoutship.
[Avenger]

In the Delta Quadrant, Hugh will serve as Primary of the Independent
Nation of Borg. They will run covert missions to help other Borg
break free of the collective.
[SNW II]

Note that the classic 23rd Century "Enterprise" officers have all
led distinguished careers and their status as of this time is as
follows. Admiral Pavel Chekov became Commander in Chief of Star
Fleet. The books he has written after his retirement detailing his
adventures on the "Enterprise," "Potemkin," and "Cydonia" had made
household names of all his crewmates. Hikaru Sulu became President
of the Federation Council for an unprecedented 3 terms. Dr. Uhura
became a two-time winner of the Nobel and Zee-Magnees Peace Prize.
After her retirement, she had devoted herself to recruiting the
best and the brightest for the Academy. Dr. McCoy is on his third
heart, grows a new set of lungs every year, has 10 meters of
new cloned intestines, and is assisted by a mobility chair.
[GN 22]

during the sexual experience, Voltak dies from a heart attack.
Consequently, Selar promises never to allow herself to be ruled by
any arbitrary physical demands. She would become the perfect
Vulcan. Unknowingly, the pon farr drive is thrown off only briefly
and will re-emerge two years later.

A Caxtonian trader leads Commander Sisko to the discovery of the long-lost
legendary Jibetian starship, the "Nibix," on an asteroid. The ancient
vessel is made spaceworthy by the "Defiant" officers and relaunched. Word
of the ship's discovery generates conflicts as the "Nibix" is brought to
DS9 under the name "Long Night" and Federation jurisdiction, assisted by
the starships "Madison," "Idaho," and "Bosewell". With the station's
medical facilities, Supreme Ruler Jibim Kiba Siber is successfully revived
from long-term cryogenic suspension.
[The Long Night (DS9)]

The molten core of the Bajoran moon Jeraddo is tapped to produce power
for Bajor. A focused low-level subspace inversion field on the moon's
core accelerates the normal convection of heat generated by the decay
of natural radioactives. A feedback loop allows the excess heat of the
moon's core to be shunted into subspace and collected by orbiting
conversion platforms. There, the enormous energy imbalance is transformed
from high-frequency subspace waves into midrange frequencies safely
transmitted to Bajor's power grid.

Commander Sisko is promoted to Captain. A shapeshifter aboard the
"Defiant" takes control of the ship enroute to Tzenkethi space intent on
triggering a war. Control of the ship is regained before completion of
Sisko's initiated auto-destruct sequence and the Changeling killed, before
dying telling Odo: "You're too late. We are everywhere".

stardate 48963 {17 December}
The USS "Aurora" class corvette is launched. Designed by Hasni Reshan,
the "Aurora" is the first Starfleet vessel that was designed to exist
in a symbiotic relationship with another. Its spaceframe was determined
by the constraints of the "Cetus" class hangar bay, for which it serves as
a perimeter scout when operating with the "Cetus" class. The "Aurora"
carries a complement of 70, 8 phaser emplacements, 3 torpedo tubes, and
warp 9.3 capacity. It is replacing the "Miranda" class, which is due to
be retired.

On Bajor, Varis Sul (tetrarch of the Paqu village) buys a black
market replicator to feed her people. The contaminated unit
spreads a plaque (named "the Wrath of the Prophets") across the
planet. Ro Laren of the Maquis arrives to provide assistance and
ends up searching for the source of the replicator alongside Major
Kira. Captain Sisko and Quark take the "Defiant" on a voyage to
Mephil Trantos and end up pursued by the Orion raider "Laslapadil"
commanded by Calculanthra. A cure for the Wrath is discovered by
Lieutenant Dax who, long ago, had experienced the plague on Andevian II.
The runabouts are used to disperse the antidote throughout Bajor's
atmosphere.
[Wrath of the Prophets (DS9)]

Note that sometime after this, Ro Laren will join the Bajoran Militia
and in 2376 stationed aboard DS9 as the station's Security Chief.

The Magellanic Hive enters our galaxy. In accordance with the
Great Design it decimates Darane IV, a Bajoran colony, absorbing
the planet's raw and organic materials. The Hive then splits into
two modules, one unit designated to absorb Cardassia Prime and the
other to absorb Bajor. The Cardassian Third Fleet succeeds in
destroying one Hive at the cost of itself. The outbreak of civil
war within the remaining Hive delays its progress long enough for
the original Great Design to be executed: the Hive terraforms
Darane III, transforming it into a permanent home for the Hive's
inhabitants.
[Objective: Bajor (DS9)]

A Cardassian tomb housing twelve soldiers is unearthed on DS9. Garak
revives eleven of the Cardassians: the High Gul of the Crescent Order and
all that remains of his Elite Guards. Through a ruse they force the evac-
uation of the station and engage Gul Fransu of the "Rugg'l" in combat.
After the death of his Elite Guard and defeat aboard the "Defiant," the
High Gul commits suicide. The "Galaxy" class starships "Exeter,"
"Potemkin" and "Hood" arrive to assist, accompanied by the Klingon warship
"N'gat".
[Station Rage (DS9)]

In the Tutopa system, the "Voyager" is hijacked by the Cartel freighter
"Kapon" while negotiating for coordinates of wormholes. The ship's
main computer processor is stolen and Captain Janeway risks her
crippled ship and crew to regain the computer, an important piece in
a political struggle. The computer is reinstalled with new bionutrient
protein producing neutral crest cell buildup, which may lead to a sentient
computer system.

The "Voyager" lands on a Class L planet inhabited by Humans, the
descendants of Terran abductees taken from 20th Century Earth by the
Briori. Amelia Earhart and 7 other Humans from 1937 are revived
from cryostasis. Given the choice to remain behind on this world or
with "Voyager's" crew, the ship's complement unanimously chooses to
remain aboard.

A Priority One Emergency brings Captain Sisko, Lieutenant Dax, and Dr. Bashir
to Starbase 1 where a 5,000 year old "Defiant" is unearthed--a relic from
an alternate timeline yet to occur. Dax's symbiont, from this "Defiant,"
is revived from stasis. The "Defiant" had been thrown back in time to
the era of the Fury war and priority is given to preventing this timeline
from existing. On DS9, Major Kira faces trouble with terrorists while
in the Gamma Quadrant viroid life forms (the "unclean"--victors of the
war with the Furies) begin absorbing local DNA and robbing starships of
warp cores, boring through ships and being with difluorine (the most
reactive and most unstable of the transperiodic elements). The viroids
intend to transform the wormhole into a space/time bridge between the
present and their last greatest victory 5,000 years ago. To do this they
attempt to detonate the wormhole using a Jem'Hadar station. The old Dax
symbiont sacrifices itself by infiltrating the viroids and issues the
destruct command before the viroids can achieve their goal, but not before
the destruction of the "Galaxy" class explorer "Mukaikubo" commanded by
Captain Regitz. On DS9, a fusion bomb destroys an infested runabout and a
new runabout, the "Platte," is stolen.

In the "Mirror" universe, the war between the Terran Empire and the
Klingon-Cardassian Alliance has severely weakened both fleets, reducing
them to unprecedented levels and forcing a final all out engagement
between the two superpowers at Omicron Theta. While this battle brings
a cessation of hostilities and a time of relative "Cold War" peace, it
more importantly thins the ranks of both fleets to a point where neither
side can press an advantage. With technology gained from crossover
incidents and the best materials money can buy, the "Warrior" class
battlecruiser is designed based upon the 80 year old "Excelsior" class,
making refitting and/or retrofitting the fleet faster. The resulting
battlecruiser features recent "Mirror" Federation technology in addition
to unique anti-projectile Stinger phaser systems, planetary assault
missiles, and ion cannon.
